11-12 on Sun. 4/26

Nothing happening, so I finally went to that Long Key everyone's talking about. I fell in love! I've never seen so many babies; and species co-mingling. I got my bird fix for the day.

It is in Davie.  http://www.broward.org/parks/lknc.htm
Go to Flamingo Road, and at the traffic light where Flamingo Gardens http://www.flamingogardens.org/ is, turn west instead of east.  Follow the road around a mile or less and you will see the entrance on the left side of the road.

Kat, the roosting/nesting trees are JUST INSIDE of the entrance gate to your left as you drive in. Easy to miss; I didn't see it til I was driving out. Even better viewing across the pond/lake on the other side.
Enjoy, Carolyn

Kat, no I'm talking about Long Key, where a lot of wading birds have nests. Egrets, Anhingas, Herons, etc. The one in Davie off of Flamingo Road.
