Hello eagle watchers,

A user from e-bird posted photos of an eagle flying over the Military Trail Natural Area.  Could it be one of the Quiet Waters eagles?  The natural area is only a couple of miles from Quiet Waters.

I'm excited that the season is possibly starting.

Looking forward to seeing our eagle family and reading about your sightings too!!

Yes, Sally it is most likely one of our eagles. They have been seen around in the last couple weeks. One of the mountain bikers sent me a photo of an adult and eaglet perched at their favorite spot behind the nest. I have been so worried about the eaglet, I'd only seen it on the day it fledged, some had see it for a couple days later, then no sightings. I spent many hours looking all over but never saw it again. So that was exciting that he spotted one last week. I assume it's from last season. I went to look for myself and couldn't find it! I did find what I'm sure was mom taking a bath by the old nest sight by the water park last week. So excited for another season!!
