After watching the juveniles flying from perch to perch trying to escape the attacking small birds, we were told by a passing car that the 2 adults were together in the dead trees. Kino, Tom, Carolyn and I hurried westward and found them far back in adjacent trees almost to the second paved parking area.
It's becoming increasingly challenging to keep up with all 4 eagle family members as they are often so spread out, if visible at all. Tonight we had a juvenile in the tall pine beside the traffic light east of the nest and the adults almost all of the way to US 27. We are definitely getting our exercise!
For me, it really was a great day to be certain to have seen all 4 of the eagles. Eagle watching is still so much fun, so rewarding and just as thrilling as the first time I saw them!
