Eagle sightings

Jennifer in Davie
My husband is an avid photographer and never misses a chance to click a photo. Recently after chaios in my backyard My dogs were goings nuts. My husband clicked a photo of a Bald eagle in the yard. The eagle didn't move or back down to my dogs, who were terrified as the eagle was as big as them. We also saw a bald Eagle last month circling a Cooper City School. As a result we a watching our local skies for any sight of these majestic birds. Please let me know how and who to contact should he become a regular, as I don't want to create a ruckus for the birds.

Jennifer, it is not unusual to see Bald Eagles almost anywhere in
Florida. Juveniles (up to 4-5 years old) may wander locally throughout
winter. If a nest is seen or suspected (e.g., if the birds are carrying
nesting materials or fish to a certain locality), you might contact the
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. They have a regional
office in Palm Beach.
