Eaglet in Dunedin Rescued after nest partially destroyed (VIDEO)

Thanks to Barb Walker for providing this interesting update!

Earlier, we posted this story of two 6 week old eaglets from a tree on a Lake Okeechobee dike that was in the path of an Army Corps of Engineers construction project. They each joined one of two families of eagles in St. Petersburg, and were accepted as if siblings,

This is one of the nests in which a third eaglet was relocated. Part of the nest fell to the ground (as shown in the above photo) and one eagle went missing. It turned out to be the "adopted" bird, which is now 8 weeks old.

Watch the interesting Video of the rescue

A follow-up from Barbara Walker--

Hi,

This is one of the Dunedin eaglets which was transported to Maitland today.

Maybe it is Hoover! Poor baby!
