Carolyn and I did not see any eagles until about 6:55 when one chick flew to the nest. About three minutes later, the other chick flew to the nest, missed and landed on the tree about three feet higher than the nest. A few minutes later, he made his way down to the nest.
Both chicks appeared to try to get positioned for a rest, but had some disagreements with each other about where they wanted to be. This went on for about 5 minutes and then they both stood up and started looking restless. One took a very short flight and landed on a limb quite a distance higher than the nest on the nest tree. The other chick took a short flight and appeared to crash land in the tree lower than the nest.
Both chicks were on the nest tree when it got so dark that it was difficult to see them.
