A very interesting series from the St. Petersburg Times. Endangered species such as the Florida Panther are simply the most fragile inhabitants of the wilderness, the first to suffer as the extent and quality of their habitat is threatened. However, all other living things also are affected.



The Florida panther is in worse shape than ever. Although there are now 100 of them, thanks to a bold genetic experiment in 1995, the panthers are crowded into a smaller area than ever.
