We arrived around 8:45 this morning, to find Hope on the nest eating a white bird. The female adult was roosting in the usual Australian Pine to the east and was cleaning its beak and preening. Fernando had arrived just before us, but did not see the feeding that probably had occurred. We left there around 11:15, having never seen nor heard Justice. We were just arriving home at 11:30, when Kelly called and said Justice was flying above the nest. She said the flight was "shaky," not like an experienced flyer. This must be Justice, back at the nest site on the second day, as Brian had predicted.
