Miramar Eagles (DA005 Nest) May 3rd Visit. Dancing In The Sky!!

NotToofast
The Eaglet pair has been very active and one of them specially noisy (The Talker)...Here them both probably playing "The last one in is a rotten egg" (no pun intended!) racing to the dry palm...

However, one of the adults (I believe the female) had other plans and invited one of the eaglets to come along...

One of the eaglets followed her (not The Talker)...

Then Eagle and Eaglet flew high, soaring until becoming two little dots in the evening sky...

And the dance started...Adult Eagle teaching the Eaglet the secrets of the courtship...

Soaring effortessly, almost no flapping, going high and higher in circles wide and wider and then, the Eaglet flipping over, exposing its talons to the instructor...

But never really locking talons...

And this aerial show of intense acrobatics continued for a while, the Eaglet on the sky screeching incessantly...and its sibling, somewhere in land responding!

The class was very intense...at some point in time part of the lesson was very close to the surface of the lake... When it was over the Adult eagle perched on one of her favorites spots..

while the other Eaglet all the time was playing "Hide and Seek" in a tree by the nest...

The hubbub continued for a while and then the male arrived and perched on one of the ligth poles by the turnpike

The calm came back to the area...and even though the nest was empty...the Four eagles that compose this family are somewhere in the picture...
