Monday 10:30-2 at the nest

Well, at least the eaglets were not down flat the whole time I was there, but not much happened.  There were no feedings and there was very little exercise going on.  Most of the time, the chicks just stood there and looked around and they were panting a lot of the time.  I wonder if the temperature is the reason they are not exercising more.
I never saw an adult eagle, but I didn't walk over to the dead trees to the west to see if one was there.
Not many people stopped by to look.

Nice photo, Jill. I wonder if the parents are now beginning to taper
down the feeding so they lose some weight in preparation for free flight.
