I still have not found the nest, but this one was out surveying the lake on the dead branch on the left of the tree.

Hello,

Glad you finally got to see one, if this is the dead tree on the island, the nest is inside the same tree group in the living part of it, 2/3rds up from the ground and in the center of the tree. It is very hard to see because it is covered with branches and you can only see the bottom of the nest, sometimes if it is very wet you can see the top of the nest. You can see the nest easier if you go to the pavilion called "Limpkin" to the east of the marina and look at the tree from the side, it easier to see from that vantage point.
