We arrived at the nest at 9:00 AM and found both eaglets had come back to the nest. One was on the branch to the right and this one was in the nest. They were calling.

They must have seen the male parent nearby. In about 20 minutes both parents arrived in rapid succession, each with a fish-- the male first.

He quickly retreated after being mobbed by the boisterous eaglets which were bigger than he.

The female also brought an even smaller fish , but she stayed a bit longer.

She was also attacked. The older eaglet even grabbed her foot in his beak! (Click on photo to select full-screen view as well as additional photos in FLICKR)

What a wonderful series of shots, Ken....all beautiful and such perfect captures illustrating the behaviors you were watching!  It really was a memorable day at the nest this morning!

These pictures are so great for those of us who are not local and cannot
visit the nest.  My son and I have learned all about eaglets by being in
the Eagle Forum this year.  Keep up the great work!

I forgot to post this photo of Honor jealously guarding the fish from her sibling. Glory is almost hidden--  you can just see the top of her head.

That's the behavior that I observed for over an hour, Ken.  Honor would not let the sibling near the fish and Glory just sat back staring at the food.
