Around 10:30 am (5-9-09) one of the adults was in a tall Australian Pine west of the nest. It may have just flown in with food at the nest but I did not witness that. The adult flew off shortly there-after and rode a thermal straight up from the nest site. At an elevation above 500', I witnessed another 'harassment attack' (possibly a mockingbird?). The eagle twisted & turned and out-flew the 'attack' & continued riding the thermal straight up until it disappeared from my site. Meanwhile, the two eaglets where (low) in the nest apparently finishing a meal. Shortly before 11am, the eaglets flew off (did not witness).
