Very quiet at the nest this am....

Trisha
I arrived later than usual due to all the rain (around 10am) and stayed for 2 hrs. During that period I did not see or hear an adult or juvenile. I walked several times down to the dead stand and went well past and could not spot an eagle. Joe called last night from the nest around 7:30 and said that both of the  juveniles were perched on separate branches of the nest tree. It will be interesting to see if they return this afternoon.

That's interesting, Trisha, that you did not see either chicks or adults in 2 hrs.  Ken & I stopped by the nest yesterday about 3PM and stayed til 3:30 on the way to running errands.  We too didn't see chicks or parents anywhere.

I don't know if I'm ready to cut the apron strings quite yet.
