We have eggs!

Rockitglider
Hello,

The eagles have started  sitting in and garding the nest, this morning I observed the male eagle sitting deep in the nest and the female perched next to him. They were like this for at leastc2chours. The female was at the nest all day yesterday, so I'm going to say egg day is the 10th of December. Happy Holidays to you all

Thanks Kit, very exciting news.

Are you still volunteering with Florida Audubon Eagle Watch Program?  Any details on their reporting system about the Pembroke Pines pair?

Hello,

I am still reporting to Eagle Watch program, but I don't have access to the reports on the Pembroke Pines nest other than what can be found on the eagle nest map, do you have access to the map?

Sally,

This is all it says about the Pembroke Nest:

Nest BO002
The nest BO002 is located at coordinates
(26.007327, -80.425728) in Broward County.

Monitoring: This nest was monitored by the Audubon EagleWatch Program last season.
Nest Status 2021: This Nest was Occupied for the 2021 Season.
Alternate Nest: Nest is currently in use; pair also has alternate nest locations(s)

Buffers:
The circles indicate a 330ft and 660ft buffer around the nest. A federal permit is encouraged for activity within 330ft of an active nest during the breeding season to avoid a violation of the federal Eagle Rule. Please visit USFWS Technical Assistance to learn more.

For more information, please contact Eagle Watch at eaglewatch@audubon.org.
