nest visit today 2.27 from 9-10am

naturegirl
Got there at 9;15 there was a couple there. We saw only 2 eaglets and no flies or insects anywhere near the nest area. Mom flew in from the west and perched then dad came with a duckling. saw the 2 chicks feed then lay down, Another photog showed up, Ken who said he was there yesterday. As i was leaving around 10am a black car stopped by and another suv with a man parked so it was busy there. Most everyone stays to the right of the nest and hpefully stayed back after I left.  No idea how everyone knows about this nest I tell no one.

If anyone else was there did you see a third eaglet or flying insects ?  Thinking maybe the flies were just there yesterday if the third had just died (doesn't take more then a short time for flies to be attracted to dead animal) or possibly a bee or wasp nest was disturbed?

So it was probably what we thought caused by the third chick passing.  Here is a family photo of the parents and 2 remaining eaglets

I know I was so looking forward to seeing triplets . Still it's a thrill to see them raise twin eaglets. At 6 weeks old they are really getting big
