 I found them today! There's a less obstructed (though farther away) view from the shore near the paviliiopn  across the water from the dog park. I got there around 3:30, and one was on the nest, so it was easy to spot from there. Once I knew where the nest was, I was able to go around to the dog park and observe it a little closer. From that angle I could see both eagles. One never left the nest. The other hung around for about 45 minutes before it took off. This nest is a lot farther than the old nest. I wish there was a way to get a little closer, though it's probably better for the eagles that we can't! These were at 800mm.
