Hello everyone,

I also saw a large bird killed like that and I was able to turn around to check to see if it was a bald eagle and like you suggested it was a duck, so I moved it to the sided in the grass in case other birds wanted to eat it. This is good news that it was not an eagle, I know I start to get concerned when I don't see one of the adults for a while at the nest, so what I do is to start going to the nest at sunrise and dusk in the evening when they come home to sleep to make sure they are all okay. Sometimes it takes a while for them to show up, but for the most part they have been okay when ever I do this. I hope you see them both soon.
