APRIL 28: Female eaglet fledged

Phil reports (5/1/2017):

"The female fledged sometime on Friday 4/28 and returned to the nest on 4/30. She was not at the nest on 5/1."

Thanks, Phil! I hope to hear more about the welfare of both at this critical period in their life cycle.

It is not unusual for the newly fledged eaglet to disappear for a few days before hunger compels it to return to the nest.

Asking all to keep us posted, as I will be traveling.
