Al Griffin and I stopped by to check the eagle nest just after noon. A single adult was roosting on the nest. It appeared to be large and bulky and may have been the female of the pair. It was very hot and humid, and the bird was "panting" (actually gular flutter that helps cool the bird).
Watchers should be on the lookout for signs of activity-- appearance of the second eagle, rearranging or adding materials to the nest, or courtship behavior.
