JG reported seeing an adult Bald Eagle flying SE at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Miramar Parkway, in the direction of a wooded area on the SE corner.
I suggested that he and others who may be near this area keep an eye out, as this may suggest the possibility of a nearby nest. There have been reports of eagle activity near here during past breeding seasons.
Of course it may be one of the known nesting pairs, but immature birds are a bit more likely than adults to be wandering outside the established nesting and foraging areas during breeding season.
