Jewel took a break from incubation dutis this morning. We arrived at about 7:10 AM and found Jewel (identified by shape and a few dark upper tail coverts and (in some views) a few dark flecks on her head.
Pride's head was barely visible and he did not change position during the 30 minutes we observed at the nest.
Jewel was preening on a roost in the large pine along the road to the east of the nest.
