We arrived a little before 11:00 AM. Desiree was there and had been watching since 10:30. The eaglet was roosting next to the nest when she got there, and the female parent was roosting at the favored spot in the Australian Pine tree east of the nest. After a while the adult took flight and provided us with a nice fly-by. So good to finally get to see the eaglet!
Wow that is GREAT news Ken, and once again, great pictures. It is such a relief to know that the eaglet has survived the initial foray away from the nest.
