FEB 27: 1:15 PM New Female roosting west of nest

The new female was roosting in the Melaleuca snags to the west of the nest and remained there while we watched from 1:15-1:45 PM today. The nest was empty and the male was not seen during this time.





Her head is almost entirely white. There is a brown feather or two under her chin, and her bill shows very faint pigmentation. Tip of tail and some under-tail coverts are dark.
