Female standing guard at nest this morning SEPT 29

A good sign that the eagles intend to re-occupy their nest this year-- the pair that Phil photographed last week and this morning the female roosting just above the rim of the nest. No one has yet reported seeing any nest-building activity. The eagles remained in the nest area as the power company installed new poles for the distribution lines in front of the nest. They cut down some trees and some other trees have disappeared, so visibility is better now.

Great visibility for the nest!!! Looking forward to being able to have a clearer view of the activity this year (last year was challenging!)
