There has been fencing placed at the nest site that will attempt to stem the tide of viewers overtaking the eagle's home. I was told that the people from "Wildlife" were responsible for it, so I am assuming that it was the FWC. Thank you! It was looking like any action would take months to implement. The restrictions include a fence along the entire edge of the forest as well as "No Trespassing" signs. A great addition as several people were witnessed entering and leaving from the wooded area. In addition, cones have been placed in the area that will limit the roadside parking to approximately 20 feet from the road (just a layman's estimate on the distance - hope I'm giving an accurate description!) I understand that there was some discussion with the FWC, who wanted to allow no parking/viewing from the south of Pines Blvd, but the Pembroke Pines police were concerned about the disappointment of the public, as well as the issues with the safety of parking on the north side of Pines Blvd. While I'm disappointed that the viewing on the south side was not eliminated, I am thrilled that the current limits are in place.
