Bald Eagle Sanctuary Plans and Issues

This Sub-Forum will follow the progress in establishment of a Pembroke Pines Bald Eagle Protection Ordinance and Sanctuary. Since the entire City of Pembroke Pines has already been officially designated as a Bird Sanctuary, this will involve adding an extra layer of protection, not only to the pair of eagles nesting on Pines Boulevard, but for any that might set up housekeeping anywhere in the City.

The issues involved in protecting, not only the eagles' nest tree and roosting areas, but also their flight corridors and foraging grounds, are complex, varied, and sometimes controversial.
