When I stopped by the nest Friday evening, I was surprised to see a long line of "locator flags" running parallel to the road on the south side of Pines Blvd. They seem to start at the corner of 208th and continue to the road that leads to the high school. I wonder if they are planning some sort of construction, as this is the typical procedure that occurs prior to any type of digging. Maybe they plan on putting in a side walk, as this side of the road does not currently have one. Whatever it is they seem to be planning, it couldn't come at a worse time! We are expecting the eggs to hatch any day now, and I can't imagine that the commotion of a construction project would be welcomed by the eagles at this sensitive time!
