JAN 26 & 27: Incubation continues; Miramar flyover

January 26: Between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM observers reported an adult was continuously deep in the nest except to periodically stand up to change position. Exchange of incubation duties was witnessed on one occasion.
JANUARY 27: On adult was deep in the nest and no others were seen between 10:00 and 10:30 AM. The adult stood up and seemed to rearrange something in the nest. As on the previous day, no eaglets nor feeding were seen.

At 7:15 AM on January 27, in the west Miramar wetlands about 1 1/2 mile SE of the nest,  I saw an adult Bald Eagle fly from the direction of the nest towards Sunset Lakes to the SE. It came right over my head. I think it was the female but cannot be sure. Sunrise was at 7:07 AM so perhaps this adult had been incubating all night and was taking a break to forage.
