Only 5 minutes after sunrise, this immature Bald Eagle flew almost directly east from a position about 1 1/2 miles south of the nest tree. It is dark but has white on crown and face, and white mottling on its body and wing linings. Its flight feathers are long and being molted, so it appears to be an early 3rd year bird, just turning two years old. It appeared headed towards the large lake in Sunset Lakes subdivision, Miramar. Was somewhat distant with very poor lighting conditions.
