JAN 6: Male in nest, female roosting and stretching

We checked the nest around 9:30 AM and found several other observers there. The male was deep in the nest, presumably incubating, while the female was roosting (preening and stretching) in the melalaeuca snags just west of the nest.

Female (Jewel) taking a really big stretch! I wonder if she spent the night incubating, so she really needed this!
