MAR 25: Eaglet quiet on nest

I watched the nest from 9:15 to 10:00 AM. The eaglet (P PIney 19) was on the nest, not moving about very much, and no adults were in sight. Phil joined me briefly and noted that this eaglet was out of sight down in the nest for a long time the previous day, and that the parents were not present. So far we know of no reports of helicoptering or branching.





After about 15 minutes the eaglet flapped her wings a few times and rather immediately went back to resting quietly.
