Hi all, I've been away for a while, can someone tell me if Jewel, or the nest in Pembrooke pines is active? I was thinking of stopping by and snapping a few shots, any status update is much appreciated thank you

The nest is very active as of today's date (4/7/2017) with 2 eaglets in it. They are healthy and flapping around, but not leaving the nest yet.

Jewel is the parent, after Joy disappeared a couple seasons ago. The male is the same, I believe. Ken knows more about it.

The Male is still Pride :) we will be picking names for the Eaglets today . you are welcome to go to Pride & Jewel Facebook page and look at all the names that have been submitted from all Pride & Jewels Fans .

Hi Lisa, thanks, but I'll skip submitting a name for the eaglets; I'm not good at that. My cats are named Orange and Gray, because one is orange and one is gray!!! The eaglets would be called eagle baby 1 and eagle baby 2 if it were up to me.

But, I can't wait to hear what the names are. I have had so much enjoyment out of watching this nest since 2008. I love seeing them thrive there.
