Observation Monday April 5 2010

All three eaglets are doing well, occasionally jumping and flapping the wings. I have an observation , last year Hope and Justice would call-out and beg, Last year when an adult would fly in with food, there was a ravenous exchange of food, and much chanter. This year I have not heard the eaglets call-out, and when an adult flies in with food , there is a docile exchange of food. I guess with three to feed , the adults are keeping the nest full of food. All three eaglets are feeding themselves, so may-be that is the answer.

That's interesting, Al. When I was there Sat, I was awaiting the usual calling out of the babies to let me know the parents were on their way. Maybe you're right about a food abundance for the chicks. I never did see an adult that day, anyway.
