Another Promising Breeding Season (Observation 11/11/12)

This post was updated on .
Found eagle sitting at the nest today between 12:35 and 12:50 p.m. (see attached).  Had my camera with me and took a few pics.  It was very windy and the nest was kind of obstructed.  At around 12:50, I had my back turned to the nest and the eagle flew without me noticing.Eagle at nest.

I have seen them for the last 3 mornings on the way to work, on the melaleucas.   I drive by between 6:35-6:45 each morning.  2 were there on Tuesday, 1 Wed, and 2 this morning (Thurs).

I was out this morning and found the eagle sitting deep in the nest, head up looking around.  No mate  came by in the hour I was there.
