This Sub-Forum is the place to post items that me be of general interest to those who love eagles and other birds of prey. The fate of the Bald Eagle is closely tied to the health of populations of Golden Eagles, condors, Ospreys, Peregrine Falcons and many other bird species, including wading birds, at the top of the food chain. Environmental toxins such as pesticides, rodent and coyote poisons, herbicides, lead, mercury and other heavy metals become concentrated in their prey. All are adversely affected by destruction of their native habitat, and must adapt to disturbances that go along with urbanization.
